All my motorbike gear and accessories, gone up in flames

Devastated. πŸ’” All my motorbike gear and accessories, worth over €10,000, gone up in flames. The truck carrying my precious cargo from Italy to Casablanca caught fire in Marseille, France, destroying everything.

I recently purchased a brand new 2025 KTM 500 EXC, which is currently waiting for me in Casablanca, Morocco. My intention is to fully equip this bike for extreme adventure riding, preparing it for any challenges that may arise. To achieve this, I sourced all the necessary accessories in Europe.

The setup includes high-quality components such as Ohlins suspension, a 13-liter fuel tank, a professional seat, a complete rally tower, tires, mousses, and additional gear valued at over $10,000.

Seeing the videos of the burning truck is truly heartbreaking. After months of planning and anticipation, everything has been reduced to ashes.

While the financial loss is unfortunate, what truly matters to me is the effort we put into selecting and testing each component. I want to extend my gratitude to my mechanic, Stephen Erlank, who did an outstanding job on my KTM 690 Enduro R and was also preparing my new KTM 500.

We are already in the process of repurchasing everything; we may just be a month or two behind schedule.

Setbacks happen; it’s part of the journey. I prefer dealing with problems that can be resolved financially.

I’m thankful that no one was injured, and I see this as merely a setback. The adventure in Morocco will continue, even if it means starting over from scratch. Your support means everything to me right now.
